Xiaomi, the smartphone company is expected to launch its latest flagships Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus soon in India. The company has already started out sending media invites for the same. The smartphones are expected to launch on February 14 this year. Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus were earlier launched in China, the previous year. There is no such confirmation by the company about the launch, but if the news is true, it will be the first product launch of Xiaomi in India this year.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus: Expected Launch
As per the sources, the smartphone company has been sending media invites for the launch of its new smartphone in India this year. The invites that are sent to the launch event bear a big 5 logo on them. From that, it is expected that the company is going to launch the Redmi 5 or 5 Plus in the Indian market. Redmi 5 is a budget smartphone and it is expected to launch in 3 variants in India as it was earlier launched in China. The smartphone was launched in black, gold, light blue, and rose gold color variants.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus: Price Details
As mentioned above, the Chinese tech giant is going to launch its budget smartphone in Indian market on February 14. The smartphone was launched in China at the starting price of CNY 799 (2GB RAM) which is equal to Rs. 8100 approx. The 3GB RAM variant was priced at CNY 899 which is approximately Rs. 9100. A 4GB RAM variant was also launched last month in China which was priced at CNY 1099 which is roughly Rs. 11200. The confirmation about the prices in India about the same will be made at the launch event.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus: Full Specifications
Both Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus have dual sim slots. Both the phones come with the back camera of 12 MP and the front camera of 5 MP. The smartphones run on Android Nougat OS. Talking about Redmi 5, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor whereas 5 Plus is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor.
Redmi 5 comes with a 3300 mAh battery and Redmi 5 Plus has a battery of 4000 mAh. The Redmi 5 has a display of 5.7 inches and a resolution of 720×1440 pixels. The display of Redmi 5 Plus is 5.99 inches and resolution is 1080×2160 pixels.
