Hello city folks, here is a good news for all of you. Guys, get ready to witness the most happening 9th Panjab University Rose Festival. Like every year, Panjab University is going to celebrate its three day Rose Festival starting from February 9, 2018.
With the aim of keeping the City Beautiful cleaner and greener and to provide a platform to its people to showcase their talents, Rose Festival is organized and celebrated each year by the Horticulture Department of Panjab University.

The world loves flowers and so do we, and if you too are crazy for them especially Roses, then you are surely not to miss this chance. So, get ready to have a glance at nature’s beauty at the grounds of The Rose Garden, Sector 16 Chandigarh. The 3-day event will be full of fun and frolic with many amazing contests, fun-filled activities and the Roses, of course.

On visiting the fest, one can get to witness a variety of Roses. You can get to see very rare species of Roses like the black rose and blue queen rose. There would be a number of events and competitions going on. The Competitions are open to School, College, University and General public as well.
Now let us have a look at the detailed schedule for the 3 days event.
Day 1 (Feb 9, 2018): Grand Inauguration of the 9th Rose Festival of Chandigarh at 9 am followed by a Flower and Photography Competition. After that, there will be Band Competition of various Schools and finally, the day will end with a Fashion Competition in the evening.
Day 2 (10 Feb 2018): On day two, various competitions will be held. A singing Competition followed by a Rangoli Competition, a collage-making competition, Slogan Writing and then Face Painting Competition.
Day 3 (11 Feb 2018): The various competitions that are to be held on the last day of the festival are Rose Prince & Rose Princess, Poetic Recitation, Dancing Competition, Creative Mehandi, Painting and Fancy Dress Competition!
The three day Rose Festival would end with a Star Night which will be held at the old convocation ground of the Panjab University.
