When we talk about the caliber and talent the women of Chandigarh seems to be heading towards a great show. The Women of India are becoming self-dependent and successful in each and every field. No doubt, one day they are going to take our country to the higher level. Whether women of a metro city or a small town they all are blessed with the abundance of talent and skills. Nowadays women are not only taking medals in academics but also in sports as well. It gives you goosebumps when you hear about the journey of a woman from being a common girl to the public figure. Women like Sania Mirza, Mary Kom, Babita Phogat are the inspiration for the upcoming generation.
Recently, Punjab University has conducted the Panjab University Inter-college Kabbadi Championship for women at the PU Campus. The colleges like Dev Samaj College for women, Mohar, MCM DAV college Sector 36, Chandigarh, Khalsa College, Garhdiwala, GGDSD college, Harina, BKS College, Mohar and many other colleges have participated in the event. But the one who has won the show was our very own MCM Dav College, sec – 36, Chandigarh. They have won the Panjab University inter-college Kabbadi championship for women against GGDSD College by 19-1. The other runner-ups are BKS College, Mohar, who stood second, while Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur, stood third. GGDSD College, Harina, finished fourth in the event.
