After Delhi now it seems like tricity is the second place where the smog has become an issue. Recently, Mohali District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Kaur Sapra ordered a change in the timings of all government and private schools from tomorrow till November 18. This step was taken by the Gurpreet Kaur Sapra due to the prevailing of smog and bad weather conditions in the area of Mohali.
This initiative is very much important for the well-being of the children and the society. This harmful smog can lead to many diseases, therefore, it is very necessary to take important measures to prevent smog and bad weather conditions.
As per the order of the Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, all school timings would be 10 am to 3 pm. As I have mentioned earlier that the order had been issued to ensure the safety of school children and the staff. Both district education officers (primary and secondary) had been ordered to ensure compliance with the change in the timings by every school. Sapra Added. Sapra also added that any violation in this regard will be dealt with sternly as it is a matter of the safety of children. The recent orders of the Punjab DPI regarding the closure of schools for three days last week were flouted by several private schools in Mohali.
If the place like city beautiful which is known for its beauty and cleanliness is dealing with such a bad weather then surely the such weather will be on hike in the metro cities.
The smog and bad weathering are because of the global warming. To save this earth and humans we all should understand the consequences of the pollution and should take initatives with the motive to save our planet. It reminds me a very famous saying, “Health is wealth”. If you take care of the environment the environment will take care of your health.
