The Tribune Model School
The Tribune Model School is a CBSE affiliated school which was founded in April 1957. It was established in Ambala by a trust known by the name of The Tribune. It is a school which is well-known for imparting best education to the students. In 1969 at the time of relocation of The tribune from Ambala to Chandigarh, TMS also moved to Chandigarh.
6th Annual Sports Meet of Tribune Model School
The Tribune Model School organize sports meet every year. This year 6th Annual Sports Meet is organized by the school from October 25 to October 27. During the sports competition, the school has conducted various events and sports in which students of class IVth to Xth participated actively. All the events were held on school premises.
Winners of the first day
Students have shown their excellence on the first day of the sports meet. Students won medals by showcasing their talents in various sports.
U-14 Long Jump
Kritika of Dronacharya house got a gold medal in girl’s U-14 long jump. The runner-up for girl’s U-14 was Ayushi and Mehal who are members of Shankaracharya house. They bring home silver and bronze medal respectively. Harsh who is an active member of Vishwamitra house won a gold medal in boy’s U-14 long jump. Shivansh and Manmeet of Dronacharya house and Chanakya house respectively won themselves silver and bronze medals.
U-17 Long Jump
When it comes to girl’s U-17, Shenaz of Vishwamitra house won herself a gold medal, while Khushboo of Chanakya house clinched silver medal and bronze medal for this category was seized by Sakshi of Vishwamitra house. Divyanshu of Chanakya house made her place on first stop by winning a gold medal with Harpreet of Shankaracharya winning silver medal followed by Sohit of Shankaracharya confirming his place on the second and third spot.
Relay Race
If we will talk about the relay race between the students of class IV to V, Chanakya team members Kartik, Divyansh, Nitesh and Sanyam claimed gold medals. The second position and silver medal is occupied by the Shankaracharya team consisting of Vishal, Fallha, Himanshu and Rishab. A bronze medal was taken by Dronacharya team having Kapil, Rishab, Lakshaya and Gauransh. While talking about girl’s relay race, Rajnandini, Vanshika, Tanu and Amandeep won a gold medal for themselves and they are followed by a team of Tamanya, Mamta, Shrishti and Ishika of Shankaracharya and claimed a silver medal. With an addition to this bronze medal is acquired by Vishwamitra house girls Gurnoor, Ekta, Yamini and Aastha. For the higher category, Antariksh, Mohammad Taukeer, Shaniya and Khushpreet won a gold medal while Divya, Aditya, Samiksha and Alok get themselves a silver medal and the bronze medal is gone to Chhavi, Tanisha, Om and Garvit.
These are the winner for the first day…A lot more excitement, winners, and fun are yet to come.
