A very well-known director and actor Neeraj Vora is no more in this world. This news brings sadness to each and every face related to Bollywood Industry and many of his fans all over the world. Bollywood actor and filmmaker died on Thursday morning in Mumbai Hospital. He was in the coma for almost a year. He was residing at home of one of his friend Firoz Nadiadwala. But he was taken to Mumbai hospital the moment his condition starts becoming worse. He was declared dead on Thursday morning because of multi-organ failure.
Neeraj Vora started his career as a writer by writing for a Gujarati play. His first movie was Holi which was directed by Ketan Mehta. In this film, he worked along with Aamir Khan, Ashutosh Gowariker, Om Puri, Deepti Naval, Naseeruddin Shah. He also worked for Circus which is a TV show of Shah Rukh Khan.
Neeraj has written dialogues of film Rangeela and also played a small role in the movie. He directed many movies like Khiladi 420, Phir Hera Pheri, Chachi 420, etc. Mr. Vora had acted in many other films like Daud, Welcome Back, Pukar, Baadshah, Mann, Company and many more. He had also worked as a screenplay writer for Hera Pheri, Choro Chori Chupke Chupke, etc.
Neeraj and Firoj Nadiadwala
The actor has gone through the heart attack and brain stroke in 2016. His wife died a few years back and he doesn’t have any children so his friend Firoz Nadiadwala was taking care of him from that time. He was in the coma since that time and he was residing at Firoz’s house. He was admitted to the hospital on Friday when his condition started deteriorating. Firoz is sad about his friend’s demise. Neeraj closed his eyes forever at around 4:00 AM on Thursday morning. Firoz said that he lost the battle while saving his friend cum brother life.
In 2016, when doctors of AIMS Delhi gave up on him, Firoj took him to Mumbai through an air ambulance with the risk of his death on the journey from Delhi to Mumbai. There he converted one of his room to Intensive Care Unit(ICU) and take care of his friend. Doctors regularly visit Neeraj at Firoj’s house and a nurse was there to take care of him 24*7. Firoj was left heartbroken after Neeraj’s death
Condolence over his death
Many of Neeraj’s friend and colleagues pay condolence on social media to the actor. Akshay Kumar has written that Neeraj is the reason for Akshay to start the comedy. They work together in movies like Awara Pagal Deewana, Ajnabee, Hera Pheri, Phir Hera Pheri and many more. He has also written that it is sad to hear the demise of Neeraj Vora who is a very talented man, no matter whether as a writer or actor or director.
PM Narendra Modi also tweeted on his death saying that he is sad about the death of an energetic and a very creative personality. He also added that he will always be remembered for the work he has done in Bollywood.
Neeraj was working on next installment of Hera Pheri before he went into the state of coma. He informed that now Ahmed Khan will direct the film. But there was no improvement seen in his condition and unfortunately, he bid goodbye and leave all of us alone.
We have lost one of the legendary people of Bollywood Industry today. Let’s pray to God for his soul to rest in peace.
